The ISU Foundation currently seeks a committed and performance oriented professional to provide support to the development officers in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Primary duties of this position include:
- Provide high-level administrative support for team of development officers charged with securing fundraising production for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- Coordinate development officer travel, including scheduling visits, researching, developing and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Perform administrative duties, including serving as the external face and voice of the development office through telephone coverage, calendar scheduling, attending internal strategy meetings and collaborating with college faculty and staff.
- Manage office correspondence, data entry and gift documentation, including drafting, proofing, editing, and formatting documents.
- Ensure efficient operation of the development office and close collaboration with the Dean''s office and academic departments. Position requires a high school diploma or GED, degree preferred; a minimum of five years of professional experience or combination of relevant education and/or demonstrated work experience. Experience using Microsoft Office software along with the ability to learn in-house databases is necessary. Must possess excellent attention to detail, accuracy, communication skills (both written and verbal), editorial skills, judgment, organizational planning, diplomacy, and professionalism. Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Must be adaptable, flexible, self-directed and have a sense of humor. Experience working in a complex office setting and working effectively as a member of a team is highly desirable. Organizational fit is the key. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
