As a BIS, you will play an integral role in our residential brain injury rehabilitation facilities by assisting with person-centered treatment approaches and supporting our participants in developing behavioral compensatory strategies to cope with manifestations of brain injury.
These include:
assisting with approaches that include addressing cognitive, physical, medical, behavioral, and psycho-social rehabilitation programming.
Our employees do not provide personal care, but they do support program participants in developing behavioral compensatory strategies to cope with manifestations of brain injury, including struggles with mental health and emotional regulation.
Our goal is to support program participants in developing the skillset to return to lives of personal meaning where they live, learn, work, and recreate in their chosen communities.
The ideal candidate:
We are looking for great candidates that have experience in the human services, brain injury, or mental health field, or currently be seeking a degree in these fields.
Positions are available in Des Moines, and both part-time and full-time positions are available.
The shifts available are AM (7AM-3PM), PM (2PM - 10PM), or Overnight (9:
45PM-7:
15AM), and every other weekend rotation is required.
This allows for continued care for our participants while also ensuring our employees have time to themselves.
Requirements:
An associate's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field with 0-2 years of experience.
Current college students are encouraged to apply.
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and have a good driving record in accordance with CNR's policies and procedures Able to pass state and federal background checks, and a pre-employment physical and drug screen are required High school diploma or equivalent required Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field including currently enrolled students Experience working with individuals with brain injury, mental illness, or other disability 0-2 years Desire to help our program participants achieve the highest level of independence as possible Continued education:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
