$30K - $38K a year Position Summary Auxiliary Gift Shop Sales Associate is responsible for providing a friendly, comfortable shopping environment for our patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
Responsible for customer service, sales, and operations to support the Gift Shop within Mary Greeley Medical Center.
Position Responsibilities Unit Specific Position Responsibilities Welcomes, engages Gift Shop customers, assists with finding suitable gift ideas Retrieves goods and provides services for customers as needed Operates cash register, credit card system, including running reports and maintaining media accuracy Prepares and delivers balloons, flowers, cheer cards, and gift items to patient rooms Maintain Gift Shop housekeeping standards including vacuum, dusting, glass cleaning, disinfecting counters, etc.
Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, and volunteers.
Ability to open and close the store as well as maintain key control Replenish and maintain merchandise inventory, supplies, etc.
Assist management with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
Organizational Requirements:
Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements.

Customer Service experience Knowledge of computer, cash register, and calculator Required Knowledge, Skills &
Experience:
Skill in effective oral and written communication in English.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Active Listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to manage one's time effectively.
