Charles City Aeronautics / Central Iowa Air Service (KAMW) and North Iowa Air Service (KMCW) Salary:
Negotiable based on experience Charles City Aeronautics, Inc.
d/b/a Central Iowa Air Service in Ames and North Iowa Air Service in Clear Lake, is currently seeking qualified A & P Mechanics for their AMW and MCW locations.
Primary Operational Objective:
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft and components, including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
Restoring aircraft condition and or operation by interpreting technical documents, such as manufacturer's manuals, Airworthiness Directives and Technical Bulletins.
Performs all airframe, power-plant, propeller repairs and modifications required to meet company, manufacturer, and FAA requirements.
Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting.
Operates all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment.
Accurately completes all required maintenance records.
Accurately records time worked on a work order.
Performs other duties as may be required.
Ability to adapt to new situations and environments.
Skills /
Qualifications:
Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic Certificate.
Strong electrical troubleshooting ability.
Responsible to gain a thorough knowledge of the company's policies/procedures, General Maintenance Manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Must have your own tools.
A & P Mechanic will receive technical guidance as required from supervisor or higher level mechanics.
A & P Mechanic must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Able to pass FAA Drug Test Willingness to assist line service personnel and office personnel as needed Experience / Education:
Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic Certificate High School Diploma or equivalent All experience levels are encouraged to apply Charles City Aeronautics / North Iowa Air Service / Central Iowa Air Service is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
