Accounting Intern

Position Summary The Accounting department at Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking an intern for Summer 2024.
The Accounting Intern is expected to provide support to Accounting staff by learning and performing normal operational tasks while expanding resources during the summer when additional audit activities are completed.
The Accounting Intern will work on-site to perform basic operational activities in cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and audit support.
The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting department while also having the opportunity to explore other areas of the medical center.
Position Responsibilities Assists with bank reconciliation, miscellaneous billing, accounts receivable review, accounts payable, and other account reconciliations.
Prepares audit documents.
Assists with daily support activities including:
credit card reporting, EPIC reports, and electronic funds transfers (EFTs).
Unit Specific Position Responsibilities Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):
Current college student in good standing majoring in Accounting or Finance.
Organizational Requirements:
Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
