Story Objective Iowa 4-H focuses on positive youth development.
The County 4-H Youth Coordinator, through a club delivery mode, will work with diverse youth, volunteers, and professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate a progressive series of educational programs and experiences that work towards outcomes.
This will be accomplished through education in the program priorities:
Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Citizenship and Civic Engagement, Communication, and the Arts.
Delivery modes include afterschool programs, camps, clubs, events, schools.
The County 4-H Youth Coordinator will focus primarily on the club deliver mode and education of the 4H clubs in Story County.

Responsibilities Support 4-H Youth Development program Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance the Iowa 4-H mission and vision Communicate effectively with members, families, volunteers, and other staff Organize and maintain volunteer management system (ISOTURE) Recruitment and support of new and existing members, families, and volunteers Delegate responsibility and authority according to volunteer strengths and interests Schedule and facilitate 4-H, youth, youth committee, club leader and volunteer meetings Assure compliance with risk management policies, including required training and background checks of volunteers Represent Iowa State University, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and Iowa 4-H professionally and positively Promote 4-H state and county programs, events, and activities, working with local partners and media Attend county, area, and state training as required, including a minimum of two trips to Ames, Iowa Plan and organize the 4-H/Youth activities at the Story County Fair.
Responsibilities include coordinating judging events and activities, weigh-in of all species, and news releases Facilitate Story County Youth Leaders in monthly meetings and activities Other duties as needed to enhance Story County 4-H Qualifications Bachelor's or associate degree preferred or equivalent experience Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation Must pass ISU Extension criminal background check Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, internet, and operation of office equipment and procedures Ability to manage 4-H and other data management systems Organizational, project management, and conflict management skills A team player will problem solving skills and cultural competence Additional Information Please download and fill out the Story County Job Application at https:
