Ames, IA, US Job Description The CIE will be responsible for leading and supporting Continuous Improvement in the Ames plant.
The CIE will act as a consultant to manufacturing and supply chain managers.
Together, you will obtain tangible results in terms of optimizing quality, delivery, cost, and cash flow, by ensuring an efficient value chain.
Job Responsibilities Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Securing performance in the plant regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Developing and managing manufacturing operations to achieve Manufacturing Excellence.
This will involve the appropriate application of a wide variety of business improvement tools with this Danfoss Business Systems toolkit to maximize synergies and reduce cost through waste reduction, inventory management and improvement of flow Driving and improving results by leveraging lean tools, consulting skills, and change management processes Creating long term activity roadmaps and lean transformation projects for our factories including:

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or similar Minimum of 5 years' experience and excellent understanding of Lean Manufacturing philosophy, tools, and methods Lean experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory Preferred Qualifications Managerial experience in a manufacturing environment in a large- or medium-sized company is highly desirable Prior experience working in a matrix environment highly desirable Job Criteria Excellent communication skills and fluent in English Strong analytical and project management skills Ability to connect with and coach and train people at all levels High level of ambition, performance orientation and a track record of driving continuous improvement in a global industrial setting Able to be effective in a matrix organization, including influencing stakeholder Coaching and developing others Cross functional awareness Employee Benefits We are excited to offer you the following benefits with your employment:
