Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nurse Manager, Perioperative role located in Ames, IA.
The Nurse Manager the perioperative will be responsible for managing and directing the daily activities of the perioperative staff, including nurses and technical support staff.
The Nurse Manager, Perioperative will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and will also oversee the maintenance of all clinical records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required, with a Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
Current and active RN licensure in the state of Iowa is required, with perioperative nursing experience preferred.
Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong leadership and team-building skills.
Must possess knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards of care, as well as experience with healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
Certification in perioperative nursing is preferred, such as the CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) credential.
Must possess knowledge of electronic health record systems and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must maintain continuing education credits as required by state and national accrediting bodies.
