Job Description:
Summary The College of Engineering seeks a Scholarship Service Specialist to provide daily administration for the college's Undergraduate Scholarship and Recruitment Programs.
The incumbent, working under the direction of the Coordinator for COE Scholarships, will administer the scholarship application processes for incoming and current students, emergency scholarship program, undergraduate recruitment support, prospective student mailings, and campus visits.
The College of Engineering annually distributes more than $1 million of engineering-specific scholarships among qualified engineering first-year students.
Hundreds of scholarships are available to current qualified engineering students, incoming transfer students, and through several other opportunities.
Numerous information systems, technology and attention to detail will be necessary to complete accurate financial accounting, reporting, and auditing of scholarship selections.
This position will also provide daily support for undergraduate students and office reception, respond to both internal and external inquiries, and support the Director of Student Services for COE Student Organization activities.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.
S.
on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
Job Duties and Responsibilities o Provides guidance and resources to students for a variety of services.
o Delivers services and/or programming for students such as scholarship administration, recruitment programs, and resources, etc.
o Advises students on processes and procedures, and responds to inquiries.
o Maintains documentation and records.
o Refers students to appropriate resources.
o Performs a variety of administrative support activities.
