The Safety Specialist is a great relationship builder who is committed to understanding the ins and outs of our construction processes so they can serve the field from a safety perspective with practical, real-world solutions.
They help our team integrate safety into everything they do.
This role will be the subject matter expert on safety, training, and OSHA and will have a solutions-focused mindset that understands the importance of partnering with operational teams to ensure all perspectives and ideas are being considered when concerns or issues arise.
Responsibilities:
Safety Training & Development Work with Field Operations and Safety Program Coordinator to identify training needs throughout the company and develop and maintain an effective safety training program that not only meets compliance requirements but also supports the development of our people.
Jobsite Support Serve as a reliable safety/OSHA resource focused on practical, real-world solutions.
Set up any required local safety vendors and identify local safety regulation at the beginning of each job.
Review the safety-specific items for inclusion in jobsite mobilization package and work with the Safety Program Coordinator to assemble and ship it.
Serve as a resource during incident investigations and work with Field Operations to determine the corrective next steps.
Work with Field Operations, Safety Program Coordinator, and Superintendents to ensure the Safety Training Manual meets the needs of the organization.
Responsible for working with Field Operations and outside consultants to ensure Corporate Safety Manual meets all regulations.
Ensure the jobsite setup process is completed.
Jobsite Safety Visits Conduct Jobsite Safety Walkthroughs of each active T&S jobsite that are teaching and training focused.
Jobsite Safety Walkthroughs will use our jobsite safety checklist and include pictures of any issues, hazards, or potential OSHA violations.
Minimum Requirements:
OSHA 30 Certification.
Minimum of an associate degree in a related field 2
years of construction experience Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs at significant heights and ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Experience with working with various client safety requirements that includes managing certification compliance technology solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
OSHA 500 (will be expected to achieve within the first year of being hired) First Aid Train the Trainer Bilingual - Spanish Job Type:
