Estimator - Commercial Construction

A well-established and reputable Commercial General Contractor has an immediate need for a proven Estimator to join their growing organization. This is a great opportunity with a stable company that specializes in ground-up construction and renovations in various market sectors. Projects are typically $20million - $100Million. This is a career hire! This company is looking for someone to grow and manage their extensive backlog of upcoming projects.

Estimator Duties:


  • Ensure timely estimates and submission of proposals with an emphasis on cost, schedule, and scope of work accuracy
  • Understand and manage safety requirements, local building codes, and tax information for each project per location.
  • Manage site walk-throughs and document items observed and discussed with the client or key specialty contractors up to point of bid submission
  • Help build mutually rewarding relationships with potential clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Update and modify estimating database with cost data as required.

Estimator
Qualifications:


  • 5 years of experience as an Estimator for a licensed General Contractor
  • Four year degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Engineering or up to four years of directly related experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
