Production Worker

This temporary position is currently available with a leading chemical company at one of their Ames, IA facilities.
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Follow mix ticket instructions to accurately weigh and measure raw materials.
Follow instructions on fill
tickets
when packaging products.
Setup cappers, heat induction sealer, dual-sided labeler or other line equipment as required.
Operate various equipment including box taper, labeler, vacuum lifter and lot number applicator as required.
Assist operators with mixing of product and machine operations.
Comply with all Safety Regulations; maintain a safe work environment at all times.
Continually maintain plant and work environment for cleanliness and organization.
Operate forklifts as required (certification course required).
Other:
Assist in completing end of day shutdown checklist.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A. Required Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
B. Required Work
Experience: Progressive, Positive Work History
C. Required Skills or traits for the position:
Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills

Applied Mathematics
Observation
D. Physical Requirements: Must be able meet essential functions of the job per a physical examination:
o Two hand lift of 50 lbs 36 to floor x 8 reps
o Scooping 30lbs x 15 reps
o Two hand lift/carry 50lbs at waist and carry 10 ft x 6 reps
o Up/down 40 stairs o Step Up/Down 16 step x 20 reps
o Sustained squatEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
