The Ames Laboratory is seeking applications for the position of Communications Specialist II. This position''s primary responsibility is to develop written research summaries for submission to the Department of Energy. The position will work with scientists, engineers and graphic artists to develop these summaries. Research areas include new material design, material synthesis and processing, computational and theoretical physics and chemistry, catalysis, specialized analytical instrumentation, and biological systems. This position is also responsible for web communication efforts and copyediting of materials for the Ames Laboratory scientific divisions (Division of Chemical and Biological Sciences and Division of Materials Science and Engineering).
The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and computer skills for maintaining websites and preparing presentation materials. The ability to understand and present complex scientific information at a level appropriate for audiences with nontechnical backgrounds is necessary for success in this position. Bachelor''s degree and one year of related experience. Experience must include technical/science writing and utilization of multiple communication tools.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
