Bioeconomy Institute (BEI) at Iowa State University is seeking to fill an Engineer Designer II position. BEI is a research institute which seeks to advance the use of biorenewable resources for the production of chemicals, fuels, materials, and energy. The BEI also promotes, develops, and demonstrates thermochemical technologies for the same purposes from biomass and fossil fuels.
The Engineering Designer II (EDII) will support the research and development activities related to renewable energy resources and technologies for the Bioeconomy Institute (BEI). Research areas include: biomass gasification, fast pyrolysis, fluidized bed processes, gas cleaning technologies, bio-oil and bio-char production, and related thermochemical areas. The EDII will provide technical advisement for thermochemical projects, indirectly supervise undergraduate research assistants, and work with the BEI Senior Engineer to design, operate, and maintain laboratory and pilot scale reactor systems in the Biorenewables Research Laboratory (BRL) and the BioCentury Research Farm (BCRF).
The successful candidate must have demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills through technical written reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and presentations. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the experience and skills required to design, construct, operate and maintain laboratory scale thermochemical reactor systems and must demonstrate experience in fabrication. Bachelor''s degree a related field and two (2) years of professional related experience OR an equivalent combination of related education and professional related experience totaling six (6) years. Education must be in mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
Experience in design, construction, operation and maintenance of thermochemical reactor systems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
