Estimator/Ag Industrial Process Engineer

Position Summary: Todd & Sargent is expanding our project development team with an entry level position of Estimator/Ag Industrial Process Engineer. The candidate we are seeking is a dynamic and driven individual who has a strong interest in working with leaders in the feed, grain, and flour industries. The Estimator/ Ag Industrial Process Engineer will communicate and work closely with the project development team and clients to understand their needs and specifications. This person will have an opportunity to generate ideas and creatively solve complex problems. The Estimator/ Ag Industrial Process Engineer will develop proposals with detailed cost analysis for new project designs and serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal person is someone who is motivated by solving problems, creating specialized designs, and wants to make an impact on the agricultural logistics and processing sectors.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
+ Work with design and project development team to generate industry-leading Industrial facility designs
+ Meet with clients and create a written record of the project scope of work, including all structural and functional requirements for the prospective facility
+ Read drawings and take off quantities for self-performed site tasks, e.g. Division 3: Concrete (below-grade structures, foundations, flatwork, slipform construction activities), Division 5: Structural Steel fabrications, and Division 11: Equipment Installation
+ Network and solicit quotations from equipment vendors, local building material suppliers, and subcontractors (including site work, metal building erectors, process piping, and electrical subs)
+ Prepare budgetary and firm-bid proposals using established estimating methods
+ Draft specifications, construction schedules, and supporting documents for project contract
+ Attend industry specific tradeshows
Required Education & Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Preferred areas of study in Agricultural Engineering, Business, Construction Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
+ Knowledge of steel and concrete construction, including construction materials and services
+ Knowledge of material handling equipment and millwright installation helpful
+ Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients
+ Interest in the grain and feed industry
+ Ability to multi-task and work on numerous projects simultaneously
+ Excellent listening, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
+ Must be a team player and work well with others
Equipment/Systems/Software Used:
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
+ AutoCAD knowledge and Adobe or Bluebeam software knowledge helpful
Typical Physical Demands:
+ Time with clients or at jobsites may require walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
Working Conditions:
+ Normal office work environment with some travel expected
Travel Requirement:
+ Travel by air/land up to 10%, including overnights, to jobsites within North America

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
