Lush Endowed Chair in Animal Breeding and Genetics / Associate or Full Professor

## Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University seeks applicants for an Associate or Full Professor position with responsibilities in animal breeding and genetics. This position is a 9-month, tenured position. The responsibilities are described as 75% research and 25% teaching. Candidates should be recognized international leaders in animal breeding and genetics or related fields and are expected to continue or establish a research program of international stature in animal breeding and genetics and genomics at Iowa State University. The position is not tied to any one species and could go across species. Candidates are expected to contribute to graduate education and research training in their field of expertise. Opportunities to contribute to undergraduate education also exist. In addition, ample opportunities exist to collaborate with faculty in related disciplines and through participation in interdisciplinary graduate programs in genetics and genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology. The position includes dedicated operating funds.
## Required Education and Experience
Associate Professor:
Ph.D. in Animal Science or closely-related discipline with concentration in quantitative genetics and genomics of food animals, demonstrated experience conducting research and demonstrated success in acquiring extramural funding.
Full Professor:
In addition to the above requirements, a demonstrated excellent record of accomplishments in sustained scholarship, including publication of research results and external grant funding.
Candidates must also have a record of scholarship achievement commensurate with the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

Experience working with genetics and research productivity.
Evidence of the ability to effectively teach in higher education.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
