Join our team at LSI's Beloit Residential Treatment Center in Ames by becoming a Lead Youth Specialist! Many of the children we serve have experienced trauma or adverse experiences. It's our job and our privilege to empower them toward success.
Duties
The Lead Youth Specialist is responsible for providing a safe, positive, therapeutic living environment for children on our campus. You'll get to serve as a member of our therapeutic treatment team, which serves the needs of the children entrusted to our care.
This position also assists with:
Ensuring quality control of documentation,
Staff scheduling
Attending staff meetings with families, therapists, and psychiatrists
Co-facilitating team meetings

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a social science-related field, with one year of full-time work related experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
