Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a motivated Supply Chain Planner to join our Agricultural Products Division (APN), based in Ames, IA. Supply Chain Planner (1702206) RTP, NC As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be a key member of the APN Operations team. You will be responsible for coordinating the supply planning process for 350
Finished Goods and 110
Active Ingredients/Intermediates within the Agricultural Solutions business. In addition, you will identify opportunities for improvement to the supply plan and service level, as well as decrease inventory and costs. Formula for Success:
You Will Ensure the production plan remains flexible to accommodate dynamic changes to meet customer demands Demonstrate agile behaviors to ensure that Site and Operational goals are achieved, while leading the best practice in safety Create and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring forecast, customer orders and internal demands are met, while optimizing the utilization of inventories and operational resources; Monitor production to ensure that requirements can be met and supply gaps are avoided Create process orders to mirror the Finite Production Plan, and manage the release of documentation to the production floor; Adjust batch tickets, batch sizes and schedules to allow for optimal flexibility of the operation, while meeting customer needs Provide weekly schedule attainment report; Analyze historical run activity to determine standard production rates for all finished goods and intermediates produced at the site; Record and report on weekly schedule attainment, and identify potential supply gaps Determine supply deficiencies related to the current capacity within each work center; Recommend the best utilization of capital, enabling production flexibility and improved efficiencies Review historical sales trends and demand drivers; Utilize best practices to steer continuous improvement in production, allowing optimization of inventory levels and reduction of dysfunctional inventory Support the supply chain activities required for a successful product launch; Create a schedule for pilot and scale-up formulations during the development phase of launchThis position is not eligible for relocation assistance. What We Look For in You High School Diploma/GED with 5
years of experience in Manufacturing, Production and/or Supply Chain -OR- BS/BA Degree with 2
years of experience in Manufacturing, Production and/or Supply Chain Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite Demonstrated time management/project management skills Demonstrated critical thinking skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Positive attitude and enthusiasm; Solid interpersonal skills, team player, no job too large or too small; Adaptability/FlexibilityWe Also Look For 3
years of previous experience in a Manufacturing, Production and/or Supply Chain environment Advanced MS Excel data mining skills (pivot tables, v-look ups, graphs, etc) SAP experience Green Belt or 6-Sigma Certification or desire to obtain APICS certification or desire to obtain
